Stitch In New Home at 364 Green Lanes!

hello • 23 October 2020

Come and see us in our new shop location!

After a busy couple of weeks of building and refurbishment work we are very excited to say that we are OPEN for business within our newly refurbished shop at 364 Green Lanes, N13 (inside the Palmers Green Post Office building). Thank you so much to all our wonderful staff, volunteers and local builders for transforming this disused, old shop space and making this happen in such a short space of time. Just waiting for our big new shiny, sign to be put up above the entrance!

We have been delighted with the reaction we've had from everyone who has popped in so far. It feels like it's becoming home already, its a lovely bijoux space perfect for fabric and haberdashery, sewing and crafting. All the positive comments and support our local community have shown makes it so worth it, THANK YOU! Please pass on the details of our new location to anyone you know who may be interested in our shop and classes.

In other news we are also really excited to announce Stitch Crafts and Classes will be playing a key role in an initiative organised by The London Community Foundation, #iwill Fund. We are proud to have been invited to run training projects in three local schools aimed at giving youngsters the life-skills to become 'upcycling champions'. The 'champions' will then be leading upcycling workshops in their schools.

CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS

A number of you have asked what impact the Government decision to move London into Tier 2 will have on our classes and workshops. The good news is that under government guidelines we can still continue to provide our workshops and classes. Throughout the run-up to opening our new premises we have been mindful of how we arrange the space safely, social distancing and being sensible and sensitive to the situation. Thank you for bearing with us.

Whilst we were refurbing the shop we have been grateful for the support of The Woodman Pub and delighted at how much you've enjoyed the conservatory space at the Woodman Pub, Bourne Hill for crochet, knitting and sewing classes. In future some of our classes will continue to run at the Woodman and some of our classes will be within the shop at 364 Green Lanes.

Here is a list of our current classes running with more being scheduled:-
