Stitch! Your football-free zone!

Stitch! Your football-free zone!

Lots to celebrate this month with the Great British Sewing Bee final on TV on Wednesday, Fathers Day and not to forget the start of a lovely sunny, summery spell! And yes the Euros start tonight. We don't dislike football really but it does seem like a good reason to 'carry on crafting'! Here at Stitch we are celebrating lots too.....

We were so impressed with all the imaginative characters sewn during our half term workshop, thank you to all the children who joined us. We are really looking forward to running more sewing and crafting courses in the July/August summer holidays so if you missed out this time we'd love to see you then. Full details of our workshop coming later this month.

We are so pleased to restart our workshops with Broomfield Secondary School this week as part of our London Community Foundation funding and the #iwill campaign, teaching children about recycling and repurposing. This week they were making rosettes and tassels from old t-shirts and next week scarf making.

Some lovely new stock arrived in the shop this week, this Circle Line Rayon by Rachel Parker from Dashwood Studio. The perfect weight for anything you are sewing that needs a lovely flow to it from swishy, summer dresses to floaty blouses.

If you fancy making a tote bag in any of our nautical and beach themed fabrics we have just the cottons for you with this Rock Pool Blue quilting cotton and Lazy Days Cream Beach!
