Easter Crafting Kids Workshops to Book at Stitch! 03.04.25
The school Easter holidays are almost upon us and with the clocks springing forward we have the delight of longer, brighter evenings at last.
If you are a parent, grandparent or childminder looking for activities to keep children busy and having fun over the two week Easter break we have some very fun creative workshops to keep them entertained.
All our workshops are for children aged 8 and above, are in the mornings and are running at the new Rita’s Café and Arbeit Studios in Palmers Green. We have some brilliant activities for children ranging from crochet, pom pom and finger knitting and over two sessions - wet felting. Take a look below if you are interested and please don't delay as places are limited but we will need to know if we have enough takers in advance to be able to run the workshop.
We have our next Patchwork & Quilting social class on Saturday 12th April in Winchmore Hill and we would love to have more people join us. Come along at whatever level you are, beginner, intermediate or advanced and learn a new patchwork and quilting technique of your choice, Susan is very creative and open to many suggestions. We would love to be able to carry on running these sessions every month if we have enough interest (the next date is scheduled for 10th May).
All our participants have had great fun at the sessions we have run so far and Amanda who has been to all the classes had this to say “I have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions with Susan and Pat- with the machine patchwork techniques you can get very interesting patterns very quickly and you can also do hand sewing, sitting doing little bits too. It is also so useful for advice, you can go ahead and try something new and you can end up with a finished piece that could be a cushion cover, a shorter project and if you want to do something more advanced you have all the experience of the teacher to guide you on your patchwork, quilting journey.”
Patchwork & Quilting Social workshop
Stitch would like to apply for funding with the National Lottery Community Fund and an Awards for All application. We are planning to run creative, crafting workshops teaching the therapeutic skill of crochet, knitting, hand and machine sewing to create pieces of self expression. These workshops will be for members of our local community struggling with mental health difficulties in conjunction with MIND.
We are running a survey to help shape these sessions and for possible participants to make suggestions so we would love input and feedback if you feel they are relevant to you or anyone you know/or organisations we have a survey to fill in below.
