We are feeling festive and summery, we hope you are too! And feeling inspired by last weeks Sewing Bee we challenged Susan to see how many brilliant summer items she could sew out of a metre and half of our divinely nautical and fun Dashwood Rockpool material. She made a phone bag, tote bag, bucket hat (perfect for teens during festival season), drawstring hat and sunglasses case.

Mending and Alterations workshop

We have had several requests for more mending workshops. Pat will be teaching these essential, invaluable skills on Saturday 8th July, 1-3pm. In this workshop she will be covering - shortening hems of trousers and skirts either by hand or machine, shortening sleeves, adding pockets (either patch or in-seam pockets.)

Please don’t forget to pop into our fabulous crafting swap on Saturday from 1.30-3pm. Come along with old supplies of wool, patterns, knitting needles, craft books that you don’t want anymore and swap for something that someone else brings you find interesting or useful. Swapping, crafting natter, cake and a cuppa, what could be better on a Saturday afternoon!
