Crochet is having a moment. We are delighted that a once regarded traditional craft is now in the limelight in fashion and interior design magazines and being recognised for all of its versatility and decorative glory. Anyone who has spent time making their own garment knows the pride you feel when you’ve made something yourself and someone notices and compliments. There seem to be no limits in where crochet is reaching now- bags, neck warmers, granny square bucket hats, draw string leg warmers, ponchos, cuffs, seat covers. This coming month we have spaces on wonderful Tunisian crochet with Sharon (this stitch creates such fabulous texture), 2-part total beginners crochet and as featured above with Liz looking marvellous, a new hexagonal crochet cardigan workshop, that it is so easy to adapt to the size you want without tricky shaping and is fully reversible.

Very pleased to have added another intro to paper piecing workshop with Susan and Carol to our schedule. If you are looking to expand your quilting or to continue what you have learnt in our July workshop come and join us here for a one day workshop to learn ‘English paper piecing’- the technique of folding fabric over paper templates and hand sewing these together. The paper template shape ensures the blocks are accurate and also makes it easier to piece angles together and you will be able produce a cushion cover or bag of your choice using hexagon templates.
