Happy Friday everybody!

So delighted to have hosted our first mosaic workshop in our new space last Sunday. It was a fabulous way to brighten a grey day with colourful, cheerful mosaic making. Thank you so much to our teacher Alex McHallam and we hope everyone enjoyed their day of therapeutic mosaicking. Looking forward to another workshop in June hopefully.

We are getting into a celebratory/Coronation mood with two new workshops.
Why not join us to learn to crochet a Coronation tea cosy or to learn to sew bunting? Make this fab tea cosy fitting for any celebration that needs tea and cake! Kay will guide you through the pattern showing you how to knit the techniques that will result in this tea cosy that you can keep for yourself or give as a gift!

In our sew bunting class Pat Stevens will guide you in cutting your triangles (or any shape you like) sewing and stringing them together. This class suits anyone from beginners upwards that can sew a straight line and want to improve their skills in making something that can be used over and over for years to come. You can bring your own fabric or we have a wide range of fabrics to choose from in store (including Coronation colours) available for purchase.

Our amazing goddess of wool Kay Dudman will be able to teach and guide you at any level. This is a technique that gives you the opportunity to use two different colours without changing wool. You can create beautiful geometric designs with whatever colour combinations you like.

During this workshop you will be working on a panel learning the basic techniques that you can continue at home to make a blanket or you can incorporate it into other projects.

You will leave with the knowledge to then create unique pieces for yourself or handcrafted gifts for your loved ones or use your new skills embellishing what you already have at home! Join us at Stitch to make a one of a kind box that can be used as a gift for a friend or a loved one or keep it for yourself as storage in your own home. This box can be covered with a variety of papers, prints or even fabric for a personalised finish to suit the occasion or person it’s for. You don’t need any kind of experience to take part in this class just come along and join us for a few hours of crafting at Stitch! You will leave with a wealth of knowledge and confidence to recreate one of a kind boxes for years to come.

Learn to Make a Teddy Bear with local artist Susan Mehmet, £50.00
This is an introduction to making a teddy bear with movable joints. In this course you will learn the basics of how to sew and design a 17mm or 7 inch teddy bear from mohair fabric, glass eyes and metal movable joints. If you cant make this date but are still interested in this class then please get in touch and we can arrange for another date.
