Happy Friday from Stitch! 25.11.22

Happy Friday everybody! It's been a fulfilling and productive week here at Stitch, in spite of some new challenges being faced. Yesterday we were invited to run a knitting workshop in their lunch break at Bates Wells law firm. It was great fun and a brilliant team building event and we hope that we get the opportunity to run more of these sessions for any companies interested.

On Wednesday, thank you Alison at
Age UK Enfield for letting Kay of Crafty Cavy and myself to talk at your Dementia Prevention event - a brilliant turn out, it was a great opportunity to talk about the benefits of knitting and crafting for your mental health. Big thanks also to the ladies at the 1.45 Ladies Club at the Grange Park Methodist Church where Pat gave a talk and demo of recycled origami card making.

And as well as our usual sewing classes last night some lovely macramé decorations were made with Jennifer of theknotpullar so we are all feeling truly festive. Thank you Jennifer.

So a quick summary of some of our NEW class dates coming up in December-

*  Learn to Use a Sewing Machine class - Saturday 10th December
* Granny Squares workshop (There are still spaces available for tomorrow)
* Design and Create your Own Christmas Jumper! Saturday 3rd December
* Crochet Christmas decorations (Saturday 3rd December or 10th December)
* Beginners Knitting workshop, Saturday 17th  December

We are also thinking of running a Christmas Sewing Session on Saturday 17th December- making fabric bags for Christmas, making Christmas stockings if we have enough people interested. What do you think?
