Happy Friday everybody! Christmas is creeping up on us and we appreciate that times may be financially difficult for many households this year. In light of this our community shopping locally means the world to us and we never take it for granted so thank you if have shopped with us in the last month or have taken a class.

We have some super classes coming up in the next couple of weeks including a granny squares workshop, with crochet expert Kay Dudman at Stitch. Learn to create colourful squares and join them to make blankets, throws, scarfs and even jumpers. You will focus on how you can use colour and texture to create unique and beautiful designs with a simple granny square. The workshop will also focus on forming a square, switching colours, joining techniques and making tassels.

On Saturday 3rd December we have a Design and Create your Own Christmas Jumper! workshop (just in time for the national Christmas Jumper Day 2022 by Save the Children on Thursday the 8th of December.) If you would like to have a one of a kind jumper to wear to the Christmas party or on Christmas morning come and join us at Stitch to wow everyone this season.

Thank you to Sharon for a fabulous embroidery class in the week learning all sorts of beginner stitches from chain to french knot, and Lazy Daisy! Some really beautiful work produced by the end of the class.

Kay from Crafty Cavy and Stitch will be presenting at Age UK's Dementia Prevention event in Enfield this coming Wednesday 23rd November talking about and demonstrating the benefits of crafting and knitting. The day will be full of taster sessions, information, guest advice on cost of living and ways to reduce your risk of dementia. Please come along and support if you are interested.

If you are complete beginner needing to learn your knit from your purl or have that project that you are in the middle of or one your are raring to start. Our amazing goddess of wool Kay Dudman will be able to teach and guide you at any level. This is an introduction to making a teddy bear with movable joints. In this course you will learn the basics of how to sew and design a 17mm or 7 inch teddy bear from mohair fabric, glass eyes and metal movable joints. Join us at Stitch to make a one of a kind box that can be used as a gift for a friend or a loved one or keep it for yourself as storage in your own home. You don’t need any kind of experience to take part in this class just come along and join us for a few hours of crafting at Stitch!
