Wishing You All Fabulous Friday February Vibes!

Hooray for a new month and for longer days and lighter evenings! Less excuses for dropping a stitch surely? If you are looking for cheer then look no further as Stitch! Crafts and Classes is here with lots of delightful offerings!

Too early with the bunting? Surely not! Nice to brighten the place up and little known fact - February 6th is the Queens Accession Day- the day, seventy years ago, when Princess Elizabeth took the throne upon the death of her father, King George VI and became Queen Elizabeth II. With the Jubilee celebrations in June, time to start stocking up for some fun summer bunting fabrics we think. Talking of which, would you like us to run a bunting class in early summer?

There are plenty of spaces still available on our Macramé-knots for pots workshop this Thursday with local crafter Jennifer of @the_knot_pullar. A lovely activity to do with a friend over a glass of wine and nibbles (that will be provided of course!) Your macramé plant hanger will make the perfect addition to your home or a special handcrafted gift for a loved one- just in time for Valentine's Day!

We have plenty to offer every Thursday morning too if mindful, therapeutic crafting is your bag with our Craft and Coffee activities,10.30-12.30, card and stamp cutting this week and silk painting the following week.

If you are up for getting your teeth into some bigger sewing projects we have some great garment workshops coming up with our Learn to sew a wrap skirt or our two-part Learning to make dungarees class (including trouser construction, application of a patch pocket, hemming, possible turn-ups and making adjustable straps). There are also some fabulous one-off "item make" classes such as constructing a fabric book cover and making a bag (perfect for beginners!) Our resident seamstress Pat will expertly guide you through.
