Hope everyone is well and had a good week, what a relief to see milder weather. So lovely to see so many people at our Stitching Circle on Wednesday, both regulars and newcomers. So much creative, knitting, crochet and crafting chatter and sharing of brilliant projects. Next group is Wednesday 10th August, 7-9pm, if you fancy coming along and joining us, the more the merrier.

RESTOCKING OF MAGNETIC SEAM GUIDES! Alot of people ask what these are when they see them in the shop. Since our seamstress Pat discovered them she says they are a game changer to help your sewing. Attaching to the metal throat plate on your sewing machine they are ideal for ensuring a uniform seam width and as a guide for straight stitching. Anti-skid design prevents the magnet from sliding around.

CLASSES UPDATE 

There is one space left on our kimono class so don't delay if you would like to attend. In this 6 hour workshop you will learn skills that include choosing which fabrics are suitable, rotary cutting, creating a patchwork, layering the quilt, quilting the layers together and finishing off with adding a binding. The design will be based on a patchwork made of squares. It is recommended that you are experienced with using sewing machine. Otherwise, no previous quilting experience is required.
