More happy makers at Stitch this week sewing fun and fabulous summer items. Thank you Susan for running this lovely workshop. There wasn’t time to make the mobile phone bag so who would like us to run another workshop for this increasingly useful item and create their own bespoke bag in whichever fabric they choose? Please let us know.

Very glamorous dresses on the Sewing Bee this week inspired by 1990’s  supermodels. What a clever tip for making spaghetti straps from Lizzie and Lauren. We’ve used these loop turners before (in stock at Stitch) and think they’re fabulous.

NEW BRUSHLETTERING WORKSHOP DATE

We are very pleased to be running another brushlettering workshop with local artist Jennifer Pullar on Saturday 29th July. Whether you’re an avid font fan or want to try your hand at something new, Jennifer’s brush lettering workshop is great fun. Jen will show you the basics of how to hold your brush, form shapes and discover your brush lettering style. Participants will be able to create their first lettering artwork and leave with their own brush, ink and new skills to take home. And please don’t forget if you book with three or more friends you get a discount.

There are spaces still available on our Mending and Alterations Workshop, tomorrow 1-3pm. If you are free why not join Pat with an item you’d like help mending?

Look at our delightful, restocked wall of colourful wools! Some lovely new wools in stock at Stitch including amongst others fabulous sock wool by Stylecraft Head Over Heels Walking in Nature - Dilly Dally 3117 Stylecraft , Impressions Aran weight Boating Lake (beautifully inspired by Impressionist painters) and Re-create Blush 3458 100% recycled DK weight - this peachy, pink shade is quite unusual and very pretty.
