This month we have some fabulous classes coming up:- ranging from (for beginners)- Learn to Use A Sewing Machine, Make a Tote Bag, learning to Make Pyjama Bottoms and for intermediate sewers Mastering Pockets, Beginners Pattern Cutting. In crochet we have crochet for Beginners or Refreshers, 2-part workshop as well as a teen crochet club starting. We have a lovely new Jute Weaving Plant Pot Workshop as well as Coffee and Craft on Thursdays.

We are really looking forward to having a stall at the brilliant Under the Arches fair this Saturday 10th September 11-4pm at the Arnos Arms pub in Arnos Grove, N11. Some fabulous local crafters will be featuring and there will be some lovely new teddy bears from Ashkim Bears on our stall. Hope to see you there!

With Nadia's guidance and instruction you will be taught the basics on how to measure and create a block pattern to take away with you. Get a fix of spring colour with this beginners sewing class where you can make practical night wear in any colour you like. They look great teamed with a simple vest top or sweatshirt. Beginners Quilting One Day Workshop!

In this 6 hour workshop you will learn skills that include choosing which fabrics are suitable, rotary cutting, creating a patchwork, layering the quilt, quilting the layers together and finishing off with adding a binding. The design will be based on a patchwork made of squares. It is recommended that you are experienced with using sewing machine. Otherwise, no previous quilting experience is required.

This is a one-off class for beginners perfect for you! Hosted by expert seamstress Pat Stevens. You will learn your way around the workings, parts and components of a sewing machine. Learn how to set up and thread a machine and how to wind a bobbin. Learn how to set the correct tension. Learn how to sew straight seams. Changing the needle. Using a zipper foot and a 1/4 inch seam foot. You will practice some stitching in order to gain the skills you need to tackle your future projects.

Come join us for a Jute weaving workshop with local artist Shirin Kambarova! This is an ancient, coiled technique that uses "jute" which is a sustainable natural, earthy material. Jute woven planters make a great strong container that are not only for plants. It can be made in many different sizes and shapes depending on how adventurous you are. It can be used for all kinds of storage from your threads to laundry and can make a truly unique gift for someone special. In this class with Stitch! you will be provided all the materials to make a small round container. If you are making a pot for a specific small plant please feel free to bring it in to make to size.
