School is almost finished for the summer. And if you are dreading the plaintive cry of “I’m bored” we hear you. We’ve got some great creative classes here at Stitch over the next five weeks. So don’t delay- browse our fab list of workshops below and book to join us.
Very much enjoyed “utilitarian week” on Sewing Bee this week. A trench coat is no easy sew, getting those neat pointed collars and positioning button holes correctly. The boiler suits were great too. Only need 5 hours Patrick? -please don’t rush if making at home, enjoy the process! Asmaa’s garment oozed sophistication, as usual, with all those extra details and we loved Mia’s fabric choice (even if she wasn’t worried about pattern matching, she pulled it off.) Enjoyed Tony’s edgy and original and design too.

LEARN TO KNIT SOCKS WORKSHOP
Get ahead making gifts for birthdays and the festive season by learning to knit socks with this brilliant one off workshop coming up at the beginning of September. A little experience of knitting is needed but is suitable for intermediate knitters and beyond. You will learn to make a mini sock in the class and also receive a pattern for a full size version. Skills covered during this class will include knitting on 4 needles, picking up stitches and the kitchener stitch (sewn cast off) and you will also be given tips on what to do next and how to avoid mistakes.

Summer holidays are sadly a quiet time for us so please note that from this week during the summer we will be closed on Fridays and closed Wednesday 9th and 16th August and Saturday 16th August.
