This is an intermediate sewing class on how to accurately cut out and adjust a pattern to make yourself a take-away home skirt. This beginner/intermediate workshop is a great introduction to making a simple object that could help you to understand the basic principles of cutting out and using a sewing machine. The skills involved will be fabric cutting, using a rotary cutter, including the use of high-quality Janome sewing machines. This traditional calendar will be created by sewing strips of fabric onto a preprinted calendar and so forming 24 pockets or ‘days’ of Christmas.

This relaxed two hour evening workshop will teach you all the basics of modern calligraphy. After a quick demonstration of the tools and techniques of the style, you’ll dive straight into learning the fundamental strokes before moving onto the alphabet, words and phrases.
