We can't believe it's Friday already! 24.02.23

Good afternoon from Stitch!
We are all enjoying modelling this fabulous waterfall jacket that Pat has made and is running a workshop in next month. Doesn't Annisa look utterly gorgeous in it! This is going to be a brilliant workshop for stitchers looking to gain confidence to tackle jersey. The jacket is a really comfortable easy to wear garment. You will learn in this class to set in sleeves, inset pockets, sew a shawl collar, finish hand stitching, learning how to cut, sew and handle jersey fabric. For full details see below ..

TOP TIPS- THE TILL ROLL TECHNIQUE
Carol is really looking forward to this weekends quilting class which is now fully booked, hooray! As well as making our sample quilt she has been experimenting this week with this till roll technique she was shown recently - a great way to use up small bits of fabric that can’t be used for a sewing project. Using a till roll allows the creation of 2.5“ strip of fabric from completed sewing of your sewing projects. These strips can be used as a border or joined together to make a colourful and unique quilt, reminding you of all the completed projects you have made. Waste not, want not!
Why not try giving it a go and let us know how you get on. Watch the video below for top tips-

A MASSIVE THANK YOU FROM BARNET HOSPITAL
The midwives at Barnet hospital were incredibly grateful for all the hats knitted for the maternity ward which were dropped this week. A particular shout out to Nimble Fingers in Romford who knitted an incredible 160 hats. Barnet asked if we do knit any more hats, term/new born size hats are the most useful, we will probably drop more to them in a month or so, so please bring into shop if you have knitted and want us to take. Thank you so much to everyone who has knitted.

FLOWERY COTTON LAWN FABRIC
Delighted to sell some of this beautiful cotton lawn this week.
