We really feel like we're getting in the mood for Christmas, decorating our window and stocking up on mince pies!
We've had some really lovely classes in the past week from two crochet classes- filled in granny squares class, our beginners workshop and our making fabric crackers which was so much fun, thank you to all who joined us.

As well as taking part in the Under the Arches craft fair Saturday 27th November, 11-4pm we will be having a fun shopping day event at Stitch on Saturday 4th December, 10-4pm. Peruse our Christmas crafty gifts, join us for mince pies, look though our xmas fabrics. Liz will be demonstrating furoshiki, Japanese wrapping techniques and can help you wrap any gifts bought!

Sew and make a beautiful and fun fabric Christmas bauble with Susan Mehmet, a great introduction to making a simple decoration that could help you to understand the basic principles of cutting out and using a sewing machine. Come and enjoy a few hours spent with people who share your passion for sewing. This is not a group with a teacher in attendance but as all crafters know it is very beneficial and enjoyable to be sharing your sewing experience and we can all pick up tips and knowledge sewing together. We have 4 Janome sewing machines for you to use and sewing tools or you can bring your own equipment. This is a sewing group for adults.

With our expert seamstress Pat Stevens this is a one-off class for beginners/ intermediates. As long as you can use a sewing machine this is a great class to advance your sewing skills. You will be taught to sew a cushion cover with an initial of your choice, (using simple applique and bondweb). You will learn to sew a an envelope back.

Join this fun intermediate sewing workshop. You will learn the skills to sew a sleeveless tunic top which will also include learning how to insert a zip, sew binding on neckline and armholes and also make a tie belt.

Ideal as a follow-on for those who have been on our Learn to Crochet workshops or anyone with previous experience who can crochet in double and treble, these flowers and leaves are perfect for all sorts of decorations - they make a great base for a Christmas wreath or use pastel shades and add them to some of your summer projects.

Dreaming of a white Christmas? Then why not crochet this sweet little snowflake decoration which is perfect to make into a handmade card or to hang on your tree. You can also make lots of them and join together to hang as festive bunting. You will learn how to make a magic loop (which is useful for all sorts of other projects) and work the classic feathery shape using treble crochet and treble crochet clusters.
