Sewing Machine Workshop for Beginners & Refreshers. Saturday 29th March, 11:00-12:30 at Holy Trinity Church, Winchmore Hill.

With expert seamstress Pat Stevens

This class is perfect for complete beginners or anyone looking to make sense of how to use a sewing machine?

You will

• Learn your way around the workings, parts and components of a sewing machine

• By the end of the workshop you will have a made your first two makes - a make up brush holder and a tissues case.

• Learn how to set up and thread a machine and how to wind a bobbin

• Learn how to set the correct tension

• Learn how to sew straight seams

* Changing the needle

* You will practice some stitching in order to gain the skills you need to tackle your future projects.

What you need to bring -

All equipment and material provided. We have Janome sewing machines on site. Do bring a notebook in case you wish to jot down ideas.

There is a follow up class you can book that will take place one month later on the 1st March.

LOCATION: Holy Trinity Winchmore Hill, On the Broadway of Green Lanes, Winchmore Hill, N21 3RS. Some on site parking in a small carpark behind the church, some on street parking, parking at Sainsburys Winchmore Hill. On the 329 and 125 bus route.

ENTRANCE TO THE CHURCH HALL IS ROUND THE BACK OF THE CHURCH DOWN QUEENS AVANUE.
